Nursery Admissions

Children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 are eligible to start nursery in September 2025. The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 28th February 2024. Parents will be notified of the outcome by Friday 2nd May 2025 at the latest.

What we offer...

Latchmere School offers both universal funded places (15 hours) and extended hours places (30 hours).

We offer 26 universal funded paces (15 hours) and 13 places for extended hours (30hours).

Universal funded places are either AM (8:30am to 11:30am) or PM (12:15pm to 3:15pm).
We hold two admissions lists. One list is for parents requesting 15 hours places and these will be offered at the appropriate time in accordance to the admission requirements.

Our second list is for extended hours places ( full time, 8:30am to 3:30pm) which equates to 35 hours a week, 30 hours are funded and the additional 1 hour a day is accessed using our Nursery Lunch Club (11:30am to 12:30pm) which is chargeable at £5 per session plus the option to purchase a hot meal at £2.50 per meal.  You also have the option of collecting your child at lunch time and returning them for the afternoon session if you do not want them to access the lunch club.

An admissions list will be kept by the school for parents requesting 30 hours places and these will be offered at the appropriate time in accordance to the admission requirements.

Places will be offered as detailed above and any remaining unfilled spaces for either 30 hours or 15 hours will be offered across the 2 admissions lists.

Intake   We have one main intake in September when children can join us in the September following their 3rd birthday provided there are places available. If there are spaces throughout the year, you may be able to apply for an in-year place for your child.    Being admitted to our Nursery does not mean that your child will automatically become part of the main school and a separate application has to be made for Reception.
