Hollie Lawrence

Hollie Lawrence has recently joined the team of Parent Governors and has 3 children in the school.  She hopes her time spent working within the school as chair and vice chair of the parents association has given her an insight into the dynamics of the school and the interrelationship between parents and staff.  She aims to harness the expertise acquired in a more strategic role as a governor.  The experience she has gained will stand her in good stead to play to her strengths of organisation, enthusiasm and sense of community which is particularly important in reaching the diverse community amongst families at Latchmere.

Maurice Press

I was honoured to be appointed as a Co-opted governor of Latchmere School in October 2019. Prior to this I held the positions of Vice Chair and Chair of Governors of two schools for some 20 years. I also served on and chaired most of the governor committees and undertook disciplinary hearings and investigations. I have also obtained accreditation from courses mainly online due to my busy schedule.

I have a disability myself, being totally blind, however, this hasn’t daunted me from achieving success in both my professional and personal life. I have run my own business in Teddington for the past 20 years, am a professional singer/keyboard player and an accredited indoor/vibe cycling instructor to a very high level.

I am committed to seeing children succeed in education and playing a part in this by being a school governor. I look forward to serving Latchmere School and the governing body in whatever capacity I can or that is required of me.

Kasim Khorasanee

Kasim Khorasanee is a co-opted governor appointed at the start of the 2018/2019 academic year.  He is a former corporate lawyer and is currently studying for a PhD in Political Theory while teaching at the undergraduate level.  As well as experience as a private tutor and in legal aid he worked for a period in the Civil Service’s centre for corporate governance expertise.  He hopes to bring his private sector legal background as well as educational and governance experience to support Latchmere’s ongoing high level of achievement and to help the school go from strength to strength.
