We have had a busy few weeks with sporting events:

Hockey Tournament

On Thursday 2nd March, eight players (pictured above) were selected to represent Latchmere in mixed field hockey at a tournament held at Surbiton Hockey Club. In our group stage, we came second which meant we came fifth out of 20 teams. Overall, we did really well as a team.

Well done, girls!

Kingston Borough Sports Awards

On Monday evening, pupils from last year’s Year 6 Girls’ Football Team went to the Council Chamber at the Guildhall in Kingston to receive a “highly commended” award under the category of Sports Team of the Year. This was following their success at the 2016 London Youth Games. There were eight awards in total and a further award for all London Youth Games Teams so the girls were invited up twice and given medals.
