Meet our Governors

Rebecca Wilkinson – Chair

Rebecca Wilkinson is a parent governor and was elected in November 2019. Rebecca brings her professional experience of stakeholder management, board strategy development and liaison with regulatory bodies to her role as a governor. She welcomes and values the opportunity to support Latchmere School and to help our children be the very best they can be.


Isobel George -vice Chair

Isobel George joined the Latchmere Governors Board in November 2020 as a co-opted governor. She has prior governor experience another primary school in Kingston where she was chair. Professionally she has experience in change and project management working in software, pharmaceutical and financial services industries, and education.


David Weaver -vice Chair

David Weaver is a parent governor and was elected in May 2021. He is father to two girls who both love going to Latchmere school.  David is a chartered chemical engineer and currently works for a major pharmaceutical company in business development leading mergers and acquisitions.  He brings extensive experience of developing and setting strategy, building and leading teams to be accountable to deliver results while working to controlled budgets.  He greatly appreciates the opportunity to serve on the board of governors and is dedicated to ensuring all pupils can fulfil their true potential at Latchmere.


Carolyn Coles

Carolyn Coles is a school governor who has taken on the role to gain a wider knowledge of how the entire school is run. Whilst enjoying being one of our Deputy Headteachers, she is also the SENDCo. She is passionate about children’s learning and believes all children can succeed given the correct opportunities and support.  


Hollie Lawrence

Hollie Lawrence has recently joined the team of Parent Governors and has 3 children in the school.  She hopes her time spent working within the school as chair and vice chair of the parents association has given her an insight into the dynamics of the school and the interrelationship between parents and staff.  She aims to harness the expertise acquired in a more strategic role as a governor.  The experience she has gained will stand her in good stead to play to her strengths of organisation, enthusiasm and sense of community which is particularly important in reaching the diverse community amongst families at Latchmere.


Chenali Senanayake

Chenali has been a parent at Latchmere since 2011, with 3 children attending the school over these years. Having previously volunteered as parent representative and helper she joined the governing body at Latchmere School in 2021.
She worked as a doctor for over 20 years before becoming a Maths and STEM tutor. She is a current trustee for a mental health charity and mentor for young people looking for work in health and social care at another charity.
She has extensive experience of safeguarding and accountability working in the public sector and will use this to serve the school and its pupils. She is passionate about ensuring all children regardless of background or ability reach their potential and brings these values to her role as parent governor for Latchmere School.


Percy Mak

Percy Mak joined as a parent governor in March 2022.  His daughter has been attending Latchmere school for two years and enjoys her time very much.  Percy is passionate about children’s education and has worked in the education industry for almost 10 years.

Being part of school councils, Percy has the experience of setting and shaping the vision, mission and goals of various schools and he is dedicated to guide the future direction of Latchmere School.  He is delighted to work alongside the governing body ensuring that every child at Latchmere school achieve their full potential in a fun, nurturing, and safe environment.
