River Boat Trips

I really enjoyed the experiment that told us that even though the river looks dirty, it’s actually clean. I also liked learning about plastic pollution and was pleased to see no rubbish on the river.

On Tuesday, we visited Teddington Lock. We walked all the way there and went on a boat called Thames Venturer. We took part in four activities – two on the boat and the others near the lock. The activities were all about the River Thames. One activity was to find which material let water through the fastest (it was gravel).

Another activity was all about testing the quality, temperature and PH of the water. We also learned about      re-cycling to help save the planet and the different parts of a boat – bow, stern, port and starboard. We found the whole day fun and really enjoyed it.
