Year 6 Basketball

Congratulations to the Year 6 Basketball team who won the first ever ‘Battle of the Throne’ basketball tournament hosted by Kingston Lions on Wednesday 23rd October.

Latchmere won their first two games against St Agatha’s and St Luke’s (18-0 and 16 – 2 respectively), setting up a top of the table clash against Ellingham. Both teams knew before the game that whoever came out victorious would qualify for the final. Latchmere continued their good form winning 10 – 6.

It was another close game in the final against Christ Church but Latchmere’s determination, team work and resilience ensured they came out triumphant winning 12 – 8.
