Year 5/6 Football

On Friday 23rd February, the Year 5 / 6 football teams (girls and boys ) went to New Malden Goals to take part in a competition. The boys team worked tremendously hard and were unlucky to lose in the quarter finals in a tight 2-1 defeat. The girls’ team won all their matches and won a ‘gigantic’ (quoted by some of the team) trophy and have now qualified for the finals in Wembley. Both teams supported one another fantastically well and showed the true Latchmere spirit on and off the pitch!
