Reception News
This week in Reception we have had our introduction to hot lunches. We are trying hard to use our knife and fork by ourselves and be independent. We have enjoyed eating lots of new food and talking about our hot lunches:- Ollie (Hedgehogs ) said, “I love the roast turkey” Olivia (Hedgehogs) commented ,“I like sausages” James (Hedgehogs) said, “I cut the jacket potato”.
In Badgers class we went on an autumn walk around the school collecting leaves, conkers and sticks. We used these to make our wonderful autumn collages and we displayed them at our school Harvest Festival. We have been working very hard to learn our phonics and we have enjoyed doing the actions to the different songs.
In Foxes Class we have really enjoyed learning all of the sounds, songs and actions in Phonics. It has helped us to play lots of sound games around the classroom. We have also been exploring lots of different places that we can make marks, do some drawings and have a go at writing letters. A particular favourite has been with chalk in our outside area!
In Hedgehogs class we have enjoyed making the most of our outside area to have some fun learning experiences. We have been constructing all kinds of large and small models and working together as a team to make ships, boats and even a fire station.
We have had so much fun in Owls Class making new friends. We have been learning how to balance and we all worked together as a team to make an amazing long train with room to sit on so we could go on many exciting adventures together. We can even make colourful pictures using different coloured shapes.
