Year 6 World War 2 Workshop
On Wednesday 1st March, Year 6 dressed up as evacuees (from World War 2) and took part in an exhilarating workshop, which was run by The Rainbow Theatre Company.
We acted out different scenes from the war with encouraging guidance from the theatre team: a country mother struggling to look after numerous evacuee children; children at school getting on a train for a lengthy journey to the countryside; and evacuees giving a helping hand in a local store. Year 6 learnt lots about World War 2, in just one day; it was greatly educational as well as being extremely enjoyable!
