Well done!

Taheem from 6C had some fantastic news recently. After many months of trials, he has been selected for the U13’s Surrey County Squad in field hockey. This is a great achievement for Taheem as most boys selected for the 2018 squad are from Years 7 & 8, making him one of the youngest to be given the opportunity to be part of the JAC players pathway this year. Taheem has been playing ice hockey since the age of five and was recently named as one of the best prospects for his age group by the England Ice Hockey Association. He was invited to join the U13’s England Selection and Development Program and was at the England camp in Sheffield over half-term. Finally, Taheem and his roller hockey team #AshAvalanche won the U13’s National Championships and will now be representing Great Britain in the European Championships in Denmark next June

Jasmine, Katrina and Neri from 4F, Robert W and William K from Purple Class and Eran from Rainbow Nursery, recently enjoyed a residential weekend with their Kingston Woodcraft Folk group at the Old Pheasantry in Tadworth. They made broomsticks from local wood to be used in their muggle Quidditch game, had a campfire, carved pumpkins for Halloween, made lanterns, went for a walk on the Surrey Hills and flew kites. They even had time to help with cooking

Caleb from Ruby Class, took part in a dancing festival recently and won first place for his modern solo against thirteen other dancers. As you can see from the photograph, he danced as the chimney sweep from Mary Poppins.

In 25 years, the charity Heal has been helping children in India. They have been giving homes to children, building schools and also giving food to people who need it. I gave a lot of my pocket money to Heal. (Ananya, Ruby Class)
