Year 6 visit to Fairthorne Manor

On Monday 12th June, 64 Year Six children went on a residential trip to Fairthorne Manor. We faced many exciting challenges and had loads of fun! There were lots of fantastic activities we took part in throughout the week: raft building, abseiling, archery, fire lighting and a zip wire (to name but a few)! To succeed in each activity, we had to use teamwork, co-operation, communication and strength. Every evening, we did a special activity; on the last night, we took part in a group campfire (where we performed a song from our school production). The weather was great during the day but it got particularly cold in the tents at night time. We certainly didn’t go hungry during the week – the food gave us enough energy for the whole five days. We especially enjoyed the breakfast. We had the most amazing time!

Fairthorne Manor was extremely fun! We did many adventurous activities during the week such as a zip wire, archery, raft building, fire lighting and many more. In the evenings, we had special activities: aqua slide, campfire and the disco which everyone loved. The food was delicious and every night before bed we had hot chocolate and biscuits. All in all, this Year 6 residential trip was a success and everyone loved it.
