Year 4 trip to Hampton Court Palace
At the end of last term, Year 4 went to Hampton Court Palace. We took part in two Tudor work-shops, saw a classic Tudor kitchen and much more.
In our first workshop we got to meet Anne (Countess of Pembroke), Catherine Parr’s little sister, who told us that King Henry VIII wasn’t always cruel, he was also fair and liked justice.
In our second workshop we were given ipads and had to complete some challenges (you could get gold, silver and bronze awards).
We also had some time to look around the palace including the authentic Tudor kitchens where we cooked beef the way the Tudors did.
We all enjoyed the trip.
