Isabella’s Special Visit
Over the summer, Isabella from Indigo Class went on a special visit to Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny.
Isabella was granted a wish by the Rays of Sunshine charity as she had suffered from Retinoblastoma and underwent chemotherapy when she was a baby. Her wish was to go to Paris to visit the art museums to see the works of Van Gogh and Monet as she had been learning about these artists in Owls Class.
Isabella had an amazing trip to Paris and visited the Musee D’Orsay and Musee de L’Orangerie. The highlight of her trip was her visit to Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny. The people at the Monet Foundation were very kind and Isabella had the very special privilege of
drawing two beautiful pieces of art supported by the very talented artist-in-residence at the Monet
Foundation. She did this whilst in a replica of the boat Monet used to paint in afloat on the famous water lily pond.
